How is defense modernization reshaping procurement priorities in the radar market?

As defense budgets prioritize integrated sensing architectures, procurement is shifting toward multi-mission radar systems using AESA, mobile platforms, and software-defined capabilities. This supports lifecycle upgrades, interoperability programs, and long-term sustainment contracts rather than single-role legacy replacements.

How is automotive radar integration evolving with expanding ADAS deployment?

Automotive OEMs are embedding radar deeper into ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and emergency braking. This increases sensor content per vehicle and drives demand for short-, medium-, and long-range radar configurations across vehicle platforms.

Why do ground-based platforms lead the radar market?

Ground-based platforms held a 37.1% market share in 2026 due to widespread deployment in surveillance, border monitoring, air defense, and infrastructure protection, supported by established procurement practices and integration with existing defense networks.

Why are long-range radar systems the fastest-growing segment?

Long-range radar is gaining momentum because operators increasingly require broader surveillance coverage and earlier threat detection, enabling improved visibility and response time across larger operational environments.

Why does North America lead the radar market?

North America held a 38.37% market share in 2026, driven by sustained defense modernization, established procurement programs, and continuous upgrades across airborne, naval, and ground radar platforms.

What is driving radar market growth in Europe?
